Collin Cannon has recently joined the turfgrass team here at GFCC by accepting the assistant superintendent position. Collin will be graduating this May from NDSU with his degree in Urban Turfgrass Management.
Collin most recently completed his turfgrass internship at the Bully Pulpit Golf Course out in Medora last summer. He came highly recommended from the Superintendent at that facility, and brings with him a great deal of knowledge and experience from his time spent there. Prior to that, Collin worked for a summer at the Crow River Golf Club in his hometown of Hutchinson, MN.
For the next few months until school is out, Collin will be coming up to Grand Forks on a few weekends and during his spring break to start learning the ropes around the shop, help out on a few equipment projects, and hopefully get to spend a little bit of time learning the golf course if the snow melts before June. If you happen to see Collin around the course this spring, please introduce yourself and welcome him to the Grand Forks Country Club.
